Eligibility
Foreign nationals who wish to travel to India for tourism, visiting friends or family, casual business meetings, or short-term medical treatment are eligible to apply for an Indian e-Visa.
The applicant’s passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of arrival in India and must contain at least two blank pages for immigration stamps.
Individuals holding Pakistani passports or of Pakistani origin are required to apply for a regular visa at an Indian Embassy or Mission.
Holders of diplomatic or official passports and those carrying laissez-passer travel documents are not eligible for the e-Visa facility.
Applicants whose names are endorsed on a parent’s or spouse’s passport are not eligible. A separate passport is required for each individual.
